Owls Continue Competition at MIT Invite

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--Competition continued for the Keene State College swimming and diving teams on the second day of the MIT Invitational at Zesiger Pool on Saturday.

Women's Highlights

In the B final of the 200 free relay, the grouping of Samantha Dickinson, Madison Pechulis, Jaelin Jang, and Kristyn Simoneau were sixth in 1:42.57, while in the C final, Patsy Ciampi, Paige Carey, Molly O'Connor, and Olivia Pechulis were third in 1:45.57.

Madison Pechulis was 10th in the A final of the 100 breaststroke, in 1:07.86.

Sophie Hayes was third in the B final of the 200 fly, in 2:14.26, while Simoneau was fifth in 2:16.55.  Simoneau, Hayes, Dickinson, and Madison Pechulis made up the 400 medley relay team that was 13th in 4:05.48.

Keene State remains in seventh place with 86 points.

Men's Highlights

Eric King, Michael Morman, Jacob Peters, and Zach Payne made up the 200 free relay team that was third in the B final in 1:29.52.    Payne was also third in the B final of the 200 fly in 1:58.28, and second in the B final of the 100 backstroke in 53.92.  

JT Barth was fourth in the B final of the 100 breaststroke, in 1:00.43, and Tyler Young was fifth in the B final of the 400 IM in 4:22.49.  George Colarullo continued his strong performances on the 1-meter diving board, finishing fifth with a score of 212.50.

The Owls are in fifth place, with 207 points after two days.
