Robert Bennett begins his seventh season as an assistant coach with the Keene State College women’s basketball team. He holds primary responsibilities for recruiting, practice and game preparations, on-floor coaching, and player development.

Bennett helped the team to a program record 24 wins, the No. 2 seed in the Little East Conference tournament, and an ECAC Championship in 2015-16.  The next season proved a historic success, as Keene State won its first ever Little East Conference tournament title.

Bennett coached at Kearsarge Regional High School (N.H.) for 20 years, spending the last four years as the girls’ varsity basketball coach and leading the Cougars to the 2012 NHIAA Division II championship game. In addition, he was highly successful coaching the school’s baseball team, which qualified for the State Division II playoffs six years in a row and back-to-back state semifinal appearances. Bennett also coached the Kearsarge Field Hockey Program to five straight NHIAA Division II tournament appearances.

Growing up in Andover, N.H., Bennett was a three-sport athlete at Merrimack Valley and Franklin High School and earned his bachelor's and master’s degrees from New England College.
