Men's Soccer 12th In Penultimate NCAA Regional Ranking

KEENE, N.H.--The Keene State College men's soccer team was 12th in the latest round of the NCAA Regional Rankings, released on November 6.

The Owls (13-6) are one of two ranked teams from the Little East Conference in the poll, and has a strength of schedule of .540 this season.   This ranking includes games through November 3.

Nationally ranked No. 1 Amherst maintains the top spot, followed by Tufts, Connecticut College, Williams, and WPI.

The Owls are led by junior midfielder Emmanuel Smith (11 goals, 10 assists, 32 points), as well as junior forward Connor Downey (8-2-18), freshman forward James McCully (6-1-13), and sophomore midfielder Vance Bates (4-1-9).   Sophomore Anthony Pasciuto has started 14 games in goal with a 1.64 goals against average and a .724 save percentage.

Keene State has received a bye into the semifinals of the Little East Conference tournament, and will host Rhode Island College, a 2-0 winner over UMass-Dartmouth, in a semifinal matchup on Friday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m.  The other semifinal will see Eastern Connecticut, 11th in the regional rankings, taking on cross-state rival Western Connecticut.
