Arsenault and Timson Named to LEC Honor Roll

'KEENE, N.H. 2/17/03 – Keene State basketball players Andrea Arsenault and Chris Timson received Honor Roll recognition in the Little East Conference weekly awards.

 

Arsenault, a junior forward from Dover, N.H., averaged 18 points, six rebounds to help the Owls go 1-1 in league play last week.  Arsenault scored 22 points, shooting eight of 11 from the field and hitting six out of seven attempts from the charity stripe, in a four-point loss to #15 Eastern Connecticut.  She followed that performance with a 14 point, eight rebound outing, in a victory over Western Connecticut.

 

Timson, a Beverly, MA. native, converted 22 of 38 (.578) shot attempts and pulled down 19 rebounds to help the Owls to a 2-1 record last week.  The junior forward began his week with a 17 point (7-8, 87.5%), seven rebound performance as KSC downed league opponent Eastern Connecticut.  In his second game, Timson led Keene State with 23 points (9-15, 60%) and seven rebounds helping KSC gain a non-league victory over Lasell College.  In the week's only loss, Timson scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds as the Owls bowed to Western Connecticut.

 

The Owls travel to Plymouth State on Tuesday, February 18, for LEC action.  The women's game begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
