KEENE, N.H. - The conference races begin to heat up, the swimming and diving season begins, and there are six chances to catch Keene State College athletic teams at home this week.
A pair of conference contests await for field hockey this week, as the Owls visit Salem State University on Wednesday, October 9 at 4:00 p.m before hosting Bridgewater State University on Saturday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. KSC, who routed Western Connecticut 8-1 in their last time out, sits a half game behind Worcester State for first place in the Little East entering the week.
Women's soccer concludes a four-game homestand this week by hosting two games at Owl Athletic Complex. Keene State will take on Framingham State on Wednesday, October 9 for a 6:30 p.m. before a league matchup with Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, October 12 at 1:00 p.m.
A key three-game road stretch for the KSC men's soccer team continues this week, as the Owls trek to RPI on Wednesday, October 9 (7:00 p.m.) and then Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, October 12 (1:00 p.m.). The Engineers were ranked No. 20 in the most recent top 25 poll.
A ranked matchup awaits volleyball on Thursday also, with the Owls hosting now-25th ranked Wesleyan University (Conn.) in Spaulding Gymnasium at 7:00 p.m. KSC also has a conference championship rematch with Eastern Connecticut at home on Saturday, October 12 at 12:00 p.m. before concluding a tri-match against MCLA at 4:00 p.m.
Swimming and Diving
The Keene State College swimming and diving teams will get their first action of the season in the pool at Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday, October 12. The meet is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
